Attire: Casual outfits with comfortable shoes. Most of us will be in jeans and our favorite sneakers. Top Golf and a walking activity are a part of the schedule.

Meet Nate, the visionary founder and driving force behind The Cleft. Nate's unwavering dedication and innovative spirit have propelled our organization to new heights, leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of inspiring positive change in the lives of young people. Nate's creative genius gave birth to the GOODLIFE curriculum, a groundbreaking approach to preparing middle and high school students for life. This transformative curriculum is now being embraced and scaled across the nation, positively impacting countless lives.

Lead Classroom Guide
Sophia shines as the Lead Classroom Guide for The Cleft, leading the way with her expertise in creating engaging and enriching learning experiences. Her innovative spirit, passion for storytelling, and commitment to prevention infuses every project with a sense of joy, fun and betterment. Sophia holds an Applied Business in Design degree from The Modern College of Design and her OCPSA. (Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist Assistant).

Support Care to Teams & Schools
Jenny's multifaceted expertise spans public health, education, prevention, team development, leadership, and international projects. Having earned her Master of Arts in Human Services from Lenoir-Rhyne University and Bachelor of Arts in Communications from North Central University, Jenny's innovative approach, coupled with her passion for prevention, continues to drive the impactful initiatives at The Cleft.

beth delaney
Program Evaluator
Beth's passion revolves around pioneering innovative programs and research that benefit patients and families, as well as inspiring others to contribute and grow. Collaborating with her husband, Greg Delaney, she works on local and national initiatives to educate and enhance cooperation among organizations aiding those dealing with addiction or in recovery. Beth is also the Chief Wellness Officer for Her Story House and was part of the leadership team for Freedom Recovery.

Greg Delaney
Greg is a Senior Community Engagement Specialist at WOODHAVEN Statewide Alcohol and Drug Treatment Center. He's an active member of Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s RECOVERYOHIO Advisory Council, advocating for the FAITH/RECOVERY community. Greg's extensive advocacy includes work with the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships and as a Faith-Based Recovery Education Developer for Reach for Tomorrow Ohio. He's a National Trainer for ENCOMPASS OHIO's 'Navigating Addiction' program and contributes to SAMHSA's Department of Recovery. He is a true gift to The Cleft and beyond!

Tammy Collins
Tammy L. Collins, PhD, brings over 25 years of experience in translating research into policy across behavioral health, justice, and education. She is currently the Associate Director for the Marshall University Center of Excellence for Recovery and an evaluation consultant in Ohio. Her academic achievements include a PhD in human development and family science, specializing in adolescent behavioral health risk and protective factors, from The Ohio State University, her expertise lies in adolescent behavioral health risk. She holds credentials as Prevention Specialist II in West Virginia and Certified Prevention Consultant in Ohio.
Accompanying this, she holds a Master of Arts in Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in journalism/public relations from Marshall University. Dr. Collins has effectively led administrative and applied research teams in both Ohio and West Virginia state agencies, assuming roles such as Deputy Director at the Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services, Senior Research Analyst at the WV Supreme Court of Appeals, and Policy and Planning Coordinator at WV Division of Criminal Justice Services.

Bruce Barcelo
Bruce is the Director of Education and Prevention and Soter Technology and serves as faculty on the credentialing board for Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist of the Breathing Association. He is a retired teacher, coach, and principal. He has taught at the University of Dayton and is currently teaching at Antioch Midwest University. He has been the three-time chair of the Tobacco-Free Ohio Alliance and is an active volunteer with Parents Against Vaping E-Cigarettes (PAVE). He has written and been published in multiple periodicals, including a Vape Prevention curriculum for Soter. Bruce presents at many national, state and local conventions and coalitions on tobacco and health-related topics. He has been the recipient of Ohio's "Outstanding Health Education Award" and the" Healthcare Professional of the Year Award".
